Roy-El offers lessons across a range of disciplines including western, hunt seat, saddle seat, driving, dressage, western dressage, and basic horsemanship. The Farm has excellent lesson horses for riders of all abilities.

At Roy-El you can ride and train all year long in the Farm’s multiple arenas. The complex also offers a round-pen with viewing area, an Olympic dressage court, jumping equipment, indoor exercise arena, and much more.

Lessons are given 6 days a week. The first lesson begins at 9:00am and the last begins at 3:30pm.

Lessons for students eight years of age and over are typically 45 minutes to one hour in length. For riders seven years of age and under, lessons are 30 minutes and include brushing, riding and feeding treats. A fantastic way to get started with confidence!

All lessons include grooming, equine anatomy review, tacking techniques and other information. Once you are comfortable with your horse, including grooming and tacking, Roy-El trainers will ask that you come early to your lesson to ensure more time in the saddle.

The goal at Roy-El is safety and fun.

You will learn not just to "sit pretty" but to be a true equestrian, learning problem solving skills and methods of communicating with your horse. At Roy-El you will gain confidence on your horse, or any horse. Lessons are held in an arena, but once you are ready Roy-El trainers can, and do, take what you’ve learned out on the trail or to a show for some real world experience. Trail rides are available to riding students.

Roy-El is a great learning environment for all ages!
